I don’t want to come off as “Debbie Downer” but, I have something on my mind. Please don’t forget the Moms who will have heartache this weekend.
I’m talking about the moms who have just lost their mom. The moms who have lost children to death, addictions, wrong choices (on both parts), unforgiveness, etc… The moms who no longer see their family as it was. To the moms who can’t even remember their own children’s names. Go ahead and fill in the blank________.
I pray for you because I understand. We see those around us getting together with all their family. The smiling faces of family photos. But, inwardly you cry because you think, why can’t my family be the Norman Rockwell painting?
Please know this hurting mother, Your Heavenly Father sees you. He knows your pain. “He heals the broken hearted and binds up their wounds.” Psalms 147:3. He hears your cries and “has compassion on all he has made.” Psalm 147:3
This Sunday, if you know a mom who is going through a rough time, take the time to give them a hug. Remind them of their Father’s great love and that they are not forgotten.
Moms Who Have Lost or Longing
