Hello, my name is Kathy Dye, “KitKat” to my precious grandchildren. I am a wife, mother, grandmother, author, inspirational speaker, and retired teacher.
I have always had a passion for teaching and writing, but my greatest love and passion has always been to share God’s word. Since college, I have been leading children’s and women’s Bible classes and hosting ladies’ days.
Shortly before retirement, I attended a women’s conference where most of the speakers were younger women. They did an excellent job, but it got me to thinking… why, as older women, do we tend to bow out or hand over our torch when God still gives us the strength and health to work?
Not long after, I attended a bible study centered around Psalm 71. I had never paid much attention to this scripture previously, but now it is my favorite! It is a prayer for God’s help in old age.
“Since my youth O God, you have taught me, and to this day I declare your marvelous deeds. Even when I am old and Gray, do not forsake me, O God, till I declare your power to the next generation, your might to all who are to come.” Psalm 71:18 NIV.
I started this blog as a way to share what God has done and is doing in my life.
