“What’s Love got to do with it?”

Tina Turner tried to convince us that love has nothing to do with a relationship. If you were to ask me this question, I would say, “Love has everything to do with it.

Paul understood this when he wrote 1 Corinthians specifically chapter 13. These verses have been read at so many weddings and they should be. I just wish we would listen to what the verses said.

Here is a short synopsis of the verses; You might be the most beautiful person in the world. You might be the richest. You possibly are the smartest person. You might be able to move mountains because of your faith. You might be the most generous person in the world. But, if you don’t have love you are nothing.

Love is at the core of everything we do!!! He goes on to describe love. It is patient, kind, keeps no record of wrong. Love does not boast, or delight in evil. It is not proud and these are just a few. You see to me, at the core, it’s saying, “You are not the center of the universe.” We love because our God loved us first. He also commanded us to love others even as we love ourselves.

Is it easy? No. but, I believe when we ask the spirit to guide us, to lead and show us, it can be done. Read the whole chapter. Let it speak to you in a new way. Because, love has everything to do with it.
