We have seen the devastation of the fires out west. Large areas of land devoured by the fire and perhaps started with one simple spark.

James was writing truth when he wrote that our tongues were like fire. One word from us can start a fire that can last a lifetime.

We have all heard it and seen it. Lives destroyed or hurt because we can’t stop gossiping. Negative words wearing on us until we feel worthless. Our words can destroy nations and families.

Think before you speak.  Build, encourage, and support one another. Ecclesiastes 5:2 says “Do not be hasty to speak…” A small word of wisdom with vast implications!
