This is our prompt from Five Minute Friday.
I’m sorry if you have already seen this picture. I just had to use it again. It cracked me up! You see, I am one of those people that the simpler, the funnier. My family always pokes fun at me because the silliest things make me laugh.
The old adage “laughter is the best medicine” is so true. Proverbs 18:22 says, ” A cheerful disposition is good for your health; gloom and doom leave you boned tired.” (the Message) I have to agree with that.
Comedians have said, “Laugh and the World laughs with you.” I could go on and on with sayings. We need more laughter.
*Laughter is contagious. Bring a smiling face or a funny joke into a room and you will start to see faces change.
*Laughter breaks down walls. When we can laugh at ourselves, we open the door for someone to relate to us. It takes away our pride.
*Laughter can help us cope with all the hard stuff in life. Finding a little humor can decrease some of the pain.
*Laughter decreases our anxiety. Proverbs 31:25 says, ” She is clothed with strength and dignity; she can laugh at the days to come.” I didn’t really understand that for a long time but it’s actually saying she is not worried about what will happen tomorrow.
I have to end with a corny joke! What do dentist call X-rays? TOOTHPICS
