I have decided that it might not be a good idea for me to walk and wear earbuds! If a great song comes on I catch myself dancing down the street. Some of the neighbors thought they might be watching an old musical! Don’t get me wrong, I love to hear the music. It closes everything out around me and you are caught in that moment. Not to mention it makes walking go a little faster!
It brought to my mind Zephaniah 3:17. “The Lord your God is with you, the Mighty Warrior who saves. He will take great delight in you; in his love he will no longer rebuke you, but will rejoice over you with singing.” Don’t you want to know what that singing sounds like? If I put in my earbuds and heard Him sing to me it might be something like, “Kathy, you are my child. I love you with an everlasting and steadfast love. I chose you and you are mine.” What beautiful music to my ears! It blocks out all the things that distract me in this world and keeps me focused on the One who matters. Dear friends, open His word and read the truths He has for you, it will be music from heaven.
