Moses, part 3

I cannot even imagine how the children of Israel felt as they approached the Red Sea. Here was this huge body of water and right behind them was the army of Pharaoh! They cried out to God and Moses that they would have been better off in Egypt in slavery.

We like to think that we are different. We want to think that after seeing the miracles that God had performed we would have no fear. The sad truth is we are as fearful. When our lives are disrupted, when we face crisis, disease, __________ (you fill in the problem) don’t we want to quit? We want to give up. We let fear paralyze us.

Moses answered the children, “Do not be afraid. Stand firm and you will see the deliverance the Lord will bring you today…(Ex. 14:13) “The Lord will fight for you;you need only to be still.”

Whatever is troubling you today, be still. Bow your head and knees and ask the Lord to fight the battle for you.
