This is my Story…

Fanny Crosby is the author of “Blessed Assurance.”  We sang this song many times in church. I love the chorus, “This is my story, this is my song, Praising my Savior all the day long. This is my story, this is my song, Praising my Savior all the day long.”

What’s your story? The last few weeks in writing class the older children have been researching the presidents and writing a short report on them. We have been using the internet to look for various articles. Some of the sites are written for kids so each biography is only a few paragraphs long. Hard to sum up a life in a few words.

If someone wrote your biography in a few paragraphs what would it say? Would it tell about your family, how you grew up, college you did or did not go to, jobs you held, awards you won, what you did for the community…

It got me to thinking about the obituaries in the paper. Short to the point. Just the facts.

Wouldn’t be cool to have your biography or obituary read,  “This is her story. She loved the Lord. She praised him all day long.” Think about it…
