Choose to Forgive

Ask yourself, are you a forgiving person? On the surface we want to answer enthusiastically – YES!! But, get hit with one of the following scenarios and we might have to change our answer (I’m sure you have some to add:

*A drunk driver kills your only child.

*Your husband cheats on you.

* Your best friend steals your life savings.

*Gossip is spread around the community about your family.

*You lose your job because someone lied about you.

Oh my, the list goes on.

Forgiveness is something we have to choose to do. As Christians it is something we are told to do. Ephesians 4:32, “Be kind and compassionate to one another, forgiving each other just as in Christ God forgave you.”

That verse is the bottom line. I am a sinner but I have been forgiven by the blood of the lamb.

This is only the tip of the iceberg on this subject.More to come. If you are struggling with this, I pray that God will supply your need to forgive.
