LIVING AFRAID

It certainly is unprecedented times we are living in. Panic and dread can overtake us. Fear of the unknown. Fear of not being in control.

I’m writing today to tell you I know fear as well. I can easily let my mind get in such a state that I am paralyzed. I can fear each breath and each moment. But, I want to offer you hope as well.

My weekly Bible study group is doing Lysa Terkeurst’s Trustworthy. It is the study of 1st and 2nd Kings. I wanted to share a quote from that study this week. In these unsettling times we need to remind ourselves who really is in charge. It’s not our government, it’s not our doctors and it certainly is not us. Girls, God is still on the throne. I can use this time to totally fall apart or I can trust Him. I leave you with Lysa’s quote;

I need to remember the enemy is vicious, but he is not victorious. Therefore, I can sometimes feel afraid, but I don’t have to live afraid. And even more importantly, I can remember that fear don’t have to pull me away from trusting God. Fear can actually be the catalyst to me choosing to trust God more than ever.
