44 years ago today we said, “I do” on a beautiful snowy night in Valparaiso, Indiana. Did we know what we were doing? I would say no. We were young and thought we were in love. 44 years later I think we are starting to see what love is all about.
Perfect? No. But, no one else I’d rather grow old with. People often ask or say, “You’re still married to him?” Truth be told I get tired of that. I know most of the time people are just joking around but it does get old. I made a commitment to him and to God. I love my husband and even though there have been hard times we both have grown. We pray together and ask God to lead us.
Be thankful for what you have today because tomorrow it could be gone.
