Go to Verses

Do you have those verses from the Bible that you continually go to? Maybe you have memorized them or maybe that just seem to pop up whenever you’re in study or reading? Possibly they were words spoken at your wedding, a funeral, or maybe a revival.

I love the word of God. It is always fresh. If you truly hunger and thirst for it, you will not be let down.

I have my list of go to verses. The older I get it, the more it grows. I am going to start with one but I would love for you to post yours. We all might find that new favorite and hopefully they will all encourage us.

One of my favorites is Hebrews 12:1. This comes at the end of the great faith chapter. All of the heroes have been listed and then it says;

“Therefore, since we are surrounded by such a great cloud of witnesses, let us throw off everything that hinders and the sin that so easily entangles, and let us run with perseverance the race marked out for us.” (NIV)

Wow!!! Is that a rallying cry or what? Get up and get moving. These witnesses have gone out before us in faith. Throw the sin off and run in the greatest race there has ever been.
