This Thanksgiving, I’ve been thinking about the power of remembrance and gratitude—and how a simple family tradition has taught me profound truths about worship. In my latest blog post, I share the story of our family’s Thanksgiving tablecloth and how it connects to the greatest meal ever shared. I hope it stirs your heart toward thankfulness this season.
I’d love to hear of your family traditions.

Such a beautiful tablecloth and tradition, Kathy. What precious memories. Thank you for sharing your wonderful article. Happy Thanksgiving. Love and blessings! 💞🦃🍁

Growing up, Thanksgiving was at least 40 people in my grandparents farmhouse.
Typically we would have the meal and then take a walk down the lane before we had dessert.
I remember one year when most of my cousins and I realized that there were more of us than those at the “adult table”. We staged a coup and took over the “adult table”. Our parents smiled and moved to other tables in the house. After the meal my aunt grinned and said, those who eat in the dining room have to do the dishes.
Lesson learned.

I love that. Yes, there was always some discussion about who sat at the adult table.
I think we really need to do the walk after dinner and before dessert.
Blessings on your Thanksgiving.
