I am not writing a long blog today about grief but just wanted to share something with you.
Over the past couple of years I have lost both of my parents and several friends. Looking at my own life and the families that have been affected by these passings, I understand more than ever that grief is different for everyone. They say there are seven stages. But, they are not in any one order. Grief ebbs and flows. It is a constant in our lives – never leaving our side.
My point is – have grace. Each person is different. Each death is different. Listen and love. Laugh and cry. Give them space.
I want to share with you a link for 17 Sympathy gift ideas. Kate Motaung is a writer who has just published 2 new books Letters to Grief and 101 Prayers for Comfort in Difficult Times. Also on her website you can get a prayer for comfort to those who are grieving.
Be Blessed.
