Too many to count

Is it hard for you to stay focused with all of the chaos going on? Some days I admit that I have a hard time. If it’s not the Virus, then we are concerned with all of the protests.

One of the reasons I used Psalm 71 as my title are the verses 17-18. “Since my youth, God, you have taught me, and to this day I declare your marvelous deeds. Even when I am old and gray, do not forsake me, my God, till I declare your power to the next generation, your mighty acts to all who are to come.”

If I began to relay all of God’s marvelous deeds, it would be too many to count! But one I declare today is that God is the answer. My response is simplistic today. God is what we need. He is what we need in the middle of a pandemic. He is all that we need in the middle of protests. He is all that we need when we are alone.

If you feel adrift in the middle of this chaos, start focusing on God. Read His word. Cry out to Him in prayer. Ask Him to show you more of Him. Ask Him to lead you into all truth. I proclaim this to you because I know of His “great things.” (verse 19) Stay focused on what matters!
