My Valentine Letter…
Dear Family, friends, enemies, acquaintances, neighbors, co-workers, church family,
I am sorry for the times I have let you down. Many times I closed my heart. I felt the only way to survive was to shut it off – close it down.
Yes, my heart has been broken at different times in my life. Even by some of you but, my eyes were closed because of my own selfishness. I expected you to love me in the ways I thought love was to be.
You are probably thinking, “Here she goes again. The ramblings of an old crazy women.” Well, read it or not…The bottom line is I am imperfect. I have not always done or reacted out of love. I have not always known what true love is. But,…..
There is someone who does love you perfectly. He knows everything about you and loves you anyway. He is our Heavenly Father. My greatest act of love is to show you Him. To invite you to be a part of the greatest love story ever told.
I want you to know “how wide and how long, how high and how deep is the Father’s love for You.” Ephesians 3:18
He gave up everything for us and He is coming back for us someday. Our stories will never end. So, live with hope and expectancy. He wants us to love him and each other. He showed us the way by sending His Son. John 3:16 says, “For God so loved the world he gave his only begotten son. That whosoever believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life.”
May we all walk in love until we meet Him face to face.
